Israel is one of the smallest countries in the region surrounded by Islamist nations, but still holds its own in terms of tradition and form of government. Many attempts by various tribes over the centuries to occupy the land has ultimately led to them being ousted by the local Jewish folk who claim that they are the apple of the Almighty’s eye – the chosen people.
