There are of course numerous places over and above this short list, but these are the main tourist attractions. You will be amazed by the ancient constructions that still hold strong to this date much like the Roman and Greek structures. It’s like the locals want to progress, but are still dominated by the stony effigies of their ancient Pharaohs.
Nightlife in Egypt is mainly meant for the tourists. This is different from its neighbor, Israel that has a throbbing club culture (Tel Aviv is known worldwide for their raves where locals participate along with tourists). Egypt is 90% Muslim, so traditional thinking is still imbibed by locals. However, if you really feel like partying, you can head to their local clubs and pubs past sunset when their prayers have been done for the day. Belly dancing women are a favorite and you must go on a night cruise down the Nile while gyrating women entertain you as you eat. Bars are also open throughout the night, though they are usually within hotel environs and have no windows for outsiders to peer in.
